Global Influencer and YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson (aka "MrBeast") has recently launched legal threats over claims made by a former employee of MrBeast's company for conducting illegal lotteries, inauthentic philanthropic content and unethical practices among other things.
The Employee (only known as "DogPack404") released a video on the 25th July titled "I worked for MrBeast, He's a Fraud" which highlighted alleged misconduct within the company, unethical marketing tactics (manipulation of child psychology) and the primary claim of illegal lotteries being conducted. "Dogpack" claims that the company failed to qualify their giveaways as legal sweepstakes due to them requiring a purchase (which is a violation of sweepstake rules in the US).

The claim comes from specifically 2 MrBeast live streams, one public giveaway last year (which has since been deleted) and another which was only open to people who had paid Twitch channel subscription. "Dogpack" claims both of these incidents qualify as illegal lotteries due to failing to allow free methods to enter at all, and the lack of a "no purchase necessary" disclaimer by the company.
While no official statement has been announced by Jimmy Donaldson or the company, a publicized cease and desist letter from MrBeastYouTube LLC Lawyers was sent to "Dogpack404". For identity reasons, the legal letter has redacted content to keep this employee anonymous.
A second legal notice was also sent to the employee with Dogpack404's stating "Here is my official response to that" [I will not cease nor desist].
This news comes at a time where Mr Beast and the company have had to deal with issues arising from Chris ("Ava") Tyson (another employee) regarding suspected predatory misconduct with minors on social media platforms Discord and Twitter/X.
